Before another class heads off to Champaign, let’s give them a proper Illinois welcome!

Join the Bay Area Illini for an afternoon at Coyote Point where incoming freshmen, current students, alumni, and families can connect before the school year begins. Whether you’re heading to Illinois for the first time, returning to campus, or simply looking to welcome the next generation of Illini, we’d love to see you there.

🥪 This is a potluck-style picnic! Feel free to bring food or drinks for yourself or something to share with the group. We’ll also have lawn games, so if you have a favorite game—bags, spikeball, KanJam, football, or anything else—bring it along! The Bay Area Illini Alumni Association will have games available as well.

This is a great opportunity for incoming students to meet fellow freshmen, connect with alumni, ask questions about life at Illinois, and start building friendships before move-in day.

We can’t wait to send off the newest Fighting Illini in true Orange and Blue fashion! 🧡💙
